Old America Was Insane tells the American stories that did not make the textbook.
Some of the most important stories
in American history were never taught
in school.
Not because they were unimportant.
Because they were inconvenient.
Families buried them. Governments
denied them. Newspapers moved on.
And the people at the center of these
stories were left without a record
that did them justice.
That is what this site is for.
Old America Was Insane is a historical
documentary channel and story archive
dedicated to the forgotten, the buried,
and the deliberately erased chapters
of American history.
We research primary sources. We name
the people involved. We follow the
documents where they lead. And we tell
each story at human speed — because
these were human lives, not footnotes.
Every story on this site and on our
YouTube channel is built from verified
historical records. We cite our sources.
We correct the myths. And we do not
look away from what the evidence shows.
Our Mission:
To restore the names, dates, and
consequences of America’s buried
chapters — so they are no longer
trivia, and no longer easy to ignore.
The stories are here.
The records exist.
They always did.
